our lady of the lake
Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Preschool Program is for children ages 3 to 4 who will not be enrolling in a Kindergarten Program the following school year. OLL Preschool is specialized for a younger child just beginning their school experience. Preschool is a time for learning in a secure environment with teachers who will help your child develop a love for learning. With this goal in mind, Our Lady of the Lake's Preschool Program provides your child with the best possible first educational experience. Our students learn through a blend of exploratory, student lead and direct teacher instruction with developmentally appropriate learning activities. In an atmosphere of consistency and security, your child will thrive!
our lady of the lake
Our Lady of the Lake Kinder-prep Program is for children ages 4 to 5 who will be enrolling in a Kindergarten Program the following school year. In addition to guiding student development in social and motor skills areas, the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School Kinder-prep curriculum has a strong focus on intellectual skill building. OLL Kinder-prep uses a "transitional kindergarten" approach working closely with the kindergarten teacher to ensure that our Kinder-prep Program prepares children for Kindergarten in all areas. OLL Kinder-prep has a unique balance of curiosity-led exploration and academic focus. There is plenty of time for free play and discovery, but they also have specific academic expectations. Kinder-prep classes have shown nearly half of the students will be reading some sight words, as well as reading simple words phonetically prior to entering Kindergarten. Almost all of the students will be reading at a Kindergarten level and in many cases higher within the first couple of months in their Kindergarten class after attending a Kinder-prep Program.
